Being a stay-at-home parent is as full-time as jobs can get! There are no sick days or lunch breaks, so how can you manage to keep everything under control?
Well SAHPs, here is my advice to you: learn how to delegate tasks, and put your needs at the top of your to-do list. When you are home during the day, you become the chef, the housekeeper, and the caretaker all in one! By delegating age-appropriate tasks to your kids and your partner, you will avoid burnout and you won’t start to resent your stay-at-home status or your family members.
Also, when was the last time you met a friend for coffee, went to a yoga class, bought a new outfit, or went on a date with your partner? If you can’t remember, it’s time to adjust your priorities and put yourself near the top of the list. Self-care and positive mental health are key to being a happy stay-at-home parent!
