Happy Friday! I'm preparing for my final wedding of the season over here, and thought I'd introduce myself to those of you new to my Instagram feed.
Yes, that's me lying down on the dance floor and taking a photo. I do what I do in order to get the photo that's in my head, so just this season alone I've not only gotten low on a dance floor, but I've scaled a shaky ladder on a sailboat, climbed a tree, stood on many rickety perches, and have probably been hefted up a few places by @ashley_l_conti (you're my favorite! <3). All while wearing an outfit and shoes that aren't particularly practical (wedding photographer struggles!)
Why do I do this? Because photography becomes so much more interesting when it's not captured at eye level, which is where most casual photographers tend to shoot at. And I refuse to be ordinary.
What else to share? It's clear I'm bit of a thrill seeker (I've gone skydiving twice, and somersaulted backwards out the first time because.. why not?), I am positively nerdy about the reality show Survivor, and could eat gummy bears all day every day. Yum yum.
Here's to the final wedding of the season, and here's to all the contortions my body will make during the next season. May they be splendorous. 📷 @ashley_l_conti and @iamsarahvphoto
