If I were to use one word to describe the Island of Tequile it would be tranquil. The moment I stepped onto shore, all I could hear were the gentle waves, the melodious birds soaring, and the winds whistling against the eucalyptus trees. As we walked down the cobblestone path there was the occasional “baaah” from all the sheep but they were cute so what can I say? I took a lot of time to meditate here. You know those “Be still and know that I’m God” type of reflections. If I’m really trusting in this journey, I know I needed to *sigh* let go of some things. The more I saw the warm love of this peaceful community, the more I asked myself, who do I need to ask forgiveness from? I made a mental list, choked on some pride and decided to make things right with many people, after all, I’m in need of forgiveness for the many wrongs I’ve done to them
Whoever you are, I pray that you find the inner peace and strength to take a step closer to freedom, the freedom of forgiveness.
