Someone biking around the greatest self-organized spaces of Berlin with me those nights?
I love this Prize for its fairness and can hardly wait to see its program happen. Selected through an anonymous process by a jury (artists Julieta Aranda, Käthe Kruse, and Henrike Naumann as well as critic Laurie Rojas and Kunst-Werke Berlin Director Krist Gruijthuijsen) the nominee’s work reflect the current spectrum of art production in Berlin. Changes in urban space, the sustainable use of material in a world of easily consumable goods, migration, and contemporary colonialism just to name a few issues surrounding the exhibitions. Here’s the lineup:

JUDGING ART at @artberlinfair
1.30 - 5.30 pm
Good, bad, ugly, commercial, fascist, edgy, legitimate, unfashionable, exploitative, overpriced, underrated, ahead of its time, a mirror of today’s global reality: How do we judge art in 2019?
Berlin Art Prize e.V. presents a series of conversations to measure up the dynamics between the established and emerging within the art system. For six years, the Berlin Art Prize has shown the work of jury-selected nominees in changing locations. At art berlin, these values are put to the test.
Join the discussions with the brilliant minds of Joanna Warsza, Büro für Kunst im öffentlichen Raum, Henrike Naumann, Mischa Kuball, Mohammad Salemy, Lisette Lagnado, Krist Gruithuijsen, Julieta Aranda, Kolja Reichert, Slavs & Tatars and Susanne Pfeffer
