Meet Ibrahim Ayuti!
Ibrahim is a gold-hearted person who works as a plumber and volunteers for United Hatzalah as both an emergency responder and a volunteer in our hospital program in the Wolfson Hospital emergency room.
Ibrahim’s father had a heart attack about 2 years ago and when medics responded to the call, he was so impressed, he signed up to be a medic with United Hatzalah. Before he even had a chance to start the course, he was in a terrible life-threatening car accident (about 14 months ago) and was extracted from the car and treated by United Hatzalah medics. He subsequently spent 7 months in the hospital trying to heal his (mostly broken) body. After 7 months, he was released and able to walk and he immediately started the United Hatzalah course and now responds to calls all over Jaffa.
Not long ago, Ibrahim went to a call where a baby was choking and already turning blue and losing oxygen. Ibrahim did exactly what he was taught and was able to get the piece out of her throat and soon the baby was breathing on her own again!
